cabin

The cabin is 2 trailers ( 60's vintage) tied together with most of the wall between the two removed.  A log archway now supports the trailer roofs.  There is an engineered snow roof (designed for more than the max snow load) above the trailers which is enclosed to the trailer top with added insulation.

There is one bathroom (sawdust toilet (composting)) not counting the outhouse.  The drains in the bathroom are functional; however, the water has not been connected to the bathroom.  Four bedrooms, 1 with closet removed, kitchen, dining and living area.

Wood burning stove (furnace) included, but no furnishings.

Run generator to charge batteries and operate well pump.  300 gallon cistern in the house with 12 volt pump to provide running water in kitchen.  No water heater.  Charging depends on the amount of electricity used.  More batteries can be added to increase time between charging.

There is a unfinished porch (we used as a fitness center).

Approximately 3 acres of land has been cleared.  There is a 335 ft. deep well.

If you want to bring in electricity, the local power company is Lincoln Electric Cooperative 406-889-3301.

Forest service land is about 600 feet away.  Lots of trails (skid roads).  No sides of the property actually border forest service.  The surrounding properties are privately owned but unoccupied, most properties do not have houses or residents on them.

This could be a perfect defendable property if your intention is survival.  The "cabin" is not visible from any road.  There are several locations which would easily accommodate construction of above or under ground structures which could blend or disappear into the environment.

For questions, more information, or if you think you might be interested in owning this secluded property please call Judy or Bruce at 406-882-4825 or e-mail info@remotemontanaland.com.
